TDS runs two different kinds of awards and contests:

The Dark Sire Awards for Literary and Artistic Achievement
This is a special awards ceremony for nominated works that are selected for their merit, professionalism, art, and craftsmanship. Think of these awards as the Nebula or the Stoker of TDS. A shortlist of nominations is announced in January each year with a LIVE awards ceremony held in Ohio every February. Each entry has a $10 fee that helps to pay stipends for the judges and ceremony expenses.

The TDS Creative Contests
These contests are monthly and sponsored by individuals and literary organizations/businesses. Entry is free and open to anyone who wishes to seek a feature on the TDS blog, The Dark Forest, and our YouTube channel. The sponsorship allows us to award a small monetary prize of $30, split between the winner and runner-up. Winning the contest qualifies you for HWA Affiliate Membership!
